wOrD PrObLEmS!

Create both an arithmetic and a geometric series word problem.

A) A baseball player has a constant batting strike. He hits 1 hit the first day and hits 2 more hits each day. How many hits does he makes after the 8th day?

B) There is a chocolate thief around town. Each day for a whole month he goes to Hersheys and steals 3 times the amount he stole the day before. If he started with only one chocolate, hoy many chocolates will he have at the end of the month? How much will it take for him to have 1 billion chocolate bars? Assume each month has 30 days.
