1.Actually I do have several questions, I first wanted to know when you ask for a recursive definition are you asking for words or for an equation, or both? Also I was wondering if I should memorize the formulas for geometric and arithmetic sequences or they will be given to us. And last I had some problems producing the formula for specific sequences, so I wanted to ask a simple way to approach the formula.
2.Common mistake that a usually make is that I tend to confuse with formulas or misunderstand what I am looking for so then when a notice it y have to start again.
3.Find the first term if the 4th and 14th term are 3 and 4
A) Number of jumps 10
B) Difference = 1
C) So the rule is to add .1, we get it by subtracting 4-3=1 and divide by 10 which is .1
D) So to find the 1st term they are 3 jumps from the 4th term so you subtract 3 times .1 to 3. so it will be 3- .1(3)= 2.7
